Two examples help you understand the benefits from Winfilter.

Example1: to keep your kids and your friends away from some programs and Windows features on your computer, use Winfilter to hide the corresponding program entries, and disable the corresponding Windows features. Save filter policy into files to save you the time editing the same filter policy afterwards.

Example2: usually there is a lot of software installed on your computer, some of them for office use, but much more of them for home use. The desktop and the start menu are filled with too many shortcut icons, and it is absolutely hard for you to locate a certain item. Nobody want to waste much time locating a program shortcut. To boost your productivity, let Winfilter hide all home use program shortcuts when you are in office, or hide all office use program shortcuts when you are at home. Save the configurations for home use into home.wf, and the configurations for office use into office.wf. With these two files, It just takes a split second for your system to toggle between the home configurations and the office configurations.
